Aqaba Container Terminal Spearheads 14th Annual Ahl El-Khair Ramadan Campaign
As part of our community engagement program, Aqaba Container Terminal (ACT), the sustainable gateway to the Levant region and beyond, proudly announces the successful completion of its 14th annual "Ahl Al-Khair" (People of Charity) initiative of the holy month of Ramadan.
In alignment with its continuing commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainable practices, ACT undertook this initiative to uplift, empower, and instigate positive transformations within the local community. Through the "Ahl Al-Khair" campaign, ACT extended its support to individuals and families in need by distributing 500 coupons, each valued at 40 JOD, redeemable for essential groceries and necessities from designated stores in Aqaba. Moreover, in collaboration with the Helping Hands Organization for Relief and Development, ACT facilitated the provision of 150 food packages to beneficiaries within the local areas.
ACT's CEO, Harald Nijhof, commented on this campaign: " We're proud to continue our tradition of helping others during Ramadan through our Ahl Al-Khair initiative. At Aqaba Container Terminal, our commitment extends beyond mere philanthropy, rooted in our core values of community engagement and empowerment. By fostering meaningful connections and impactful outreach, we will continue our positive change and promote prosperity within the Aqaba community."
ACT is committed to promoting positive change in the communities it serves through its CSR programs, which revolve around active participation in the economic and social development of the Kingdom and support several initiatives and civil society organizations, particularly focused on the wellbeing of Jordanians, healthcare, the environment and education.
