APM Terminals Lázaro Cárdenas reaffirms its commitment to innovation & productivity and its dedication to Mexico
APM Terminals Lázaro Cárdenas continues to strengthen its leadership in logistics efficiency and sustainability with a $14 million investment in state-of-the-art land transport equipment. The new shuttle carriers are designed to optimize cargo handling, reduce waiting times for external trucks and improve the overall logistics flow at the port.
With a load capacity of up to 50 tons, hybrid technology and Stage V engines, the new shuttle carriers will reduce CO2 emissions by 20% — aligning with APM Terminals’ goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2040.
"This investment reflects our commitment to technological innovation and operational excellence, while contributing to the logistical and sustainable development of Lázaro Cárdenas, a strategic port for Mexico," said Beatriz Yera, CEO of APM Terminals Mexico.
The arrival of this equipment this past Friday marked a new milestone in the modernization of APM Terminals' operations and reaffirms its commitment to quality, sustainability, and the progress of Mexico.
