Contingency Measures for Potential Work Stoppage – Updated

NOTE: Please see updates to this situation posted on October 3.

Dear Valued Customers and Stakeholders,

As we approach a potential International Longshoremen's Association (ILA) strike on October 1, 2024, we wanted to provide additional updates and guidelines in case an agreement is not reached and a work stoppage ensues.

Please see the details below regarding potential strike impact on demurrage and storage charges.

1. Demurrage and Storage Charges Paused:
APM Terminals will freeze free time and suspend all demurrage and storage charges for cargo left in the terminal during any stoppage period. These charges and free time will remain paused until operations resume and cargo becomes available for pickup.

2. Cargo Unavailability:
During the strike, cargo will not be available for retrieval and APM Terminals will be unable to accept any cargo or service any vessels. Once the work stoppage ends, we will notify all customers and resume regular operations as swiftly as possible.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Further updates will be provided as the situation evolves.

Thank you,
APM Terminals Elizabeth
